A good friend's father once told me that he was a signer to a petition attached to an add from a magazine (from WWII) and returned to the publisher that said, "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wulf?. Their reply was "We are!"
Anyway, am looking forward to pix. BTW I've got one of me at leaning against the Imperial War Museum's 190 in London. WIll post it tonite (if I can find it).

It is tonite! The first photograph is of myself (midground) and a FW 190. Isn't it strange on just how close you could get to the exhibits back in '83.
BTW, I had dark hair and could actually see my feet when I looked down.
This one is of a HE 162. I'm not so sure of the paint jobs on either bird, but, they were the "Real McCoy" as we say here in America.

OOOhhhh..
Thank god for Watsons Whizzers.Yep they sure are a purdy plane (not as sexy as a Spit though).
To Spitty.."you lucky Bastard!!"
Being an original airframe look for the little things that will amaze you, like the quality of the parts and how things work. There is an original MkXIV Spit being built not far from me and seeing the structure "in the raw" is a sobering experience. For piccies just keep sticking the camera into any hole you can.Take spare batteries and spare cards, believe me you,ll need them.Ask intelligent questions like where did they get the rivets and fasteners (they are different I believe to English and American) ,did they have trouble getting drawings, can they give you a quick talk on how the parts are built and how the plane is assembled, how different is she from original or what did they have to remake?Look smart and don,t drool on the floor and above all have fun.Bastard...
