Modding EAW=healthy therapy or maddening addiction?

Post by Shreck »

Well, that got your attention didnt it?
I think,in the words of that great american Forrest Gump(okay, fictional american) "maybe its both"
As when the KAW terrain and its issues sucks out my will to live(LOL  )or when dealing with the limitations of the pallette causes me to curse my PC AND EAW(ROFL  )
then again, there are these moments when, first try on a 3DZ modification,or first run at a new skin yields results that are.......well,while perhaps not astonishing, maybe inspiring is a better word, inspired to take the whole mod to the next level.....
heres a couple of early views of two of the three new/modified barracks(or residences if you prefer)...
the DAW version.....

the Italian version.....

These are still works in progress, and they have that RS issue with the chimney, but I am definately going to finalize these......Image
But you know, maybe I've gone completely mad

These look very good indeed.

It is of course a very dangerous addiction, and there is no known cure.

That being the case ....

How are you on large Mosques?

Need a large Mosque for Iraq.

I know - I'm being cheeky.

LOL,well,I have done some work on one, using Col.Gibbons HR Aircraft factory as a base 3DZ,but I havent got terribly far with it yet....distractions like the new HR Midway,HR barracks,UHR sprites, etc keep rearing their ugly little heads
just for your general amusement, heres a peek inside the XP projects folder(another projects folder also resides on my 98HD....and another one across the room on the other XP too)
Image
I'll get to them all.........eventually
Though the RS problems should keep you hopping for a while

Schreckie, you are a one-man industry as our dear friend Captain Kurt was. Anything you have time to do I'll be grateful for. No particular time scale. Still a lot to do for Iraq.

I haven't forgotton the the CR42.

Duh.....or Doh!....

As a friend of mine said when he first got his publishing business going:

"The ideas come so fast I don't even have time to write them down."

And so it is with Herr Shreck. What a massive list. What an imagination.

What did my friend do that made his business so successful?

He made sure the ideas he DID write down and use were worked out and completed. Well, mostly. He's still hasn't completed a flipguide (flipguide.com) that I spent weeks on and he just signed a $125,000 contract for. Now if we just offered some money to Shreck....
