The 737 of its time for that then small class of people that could actually afford air travel.
Also used by explorers and record breakers, and a few found their way to Poland where Jerzy Rudlicki promptly developed and Plage i Laskiewicz built a recce/light bomber version, the F.VIIB-3m for the Polish Air Force. 18 of these were in the Polish Order of Battle in 1st July 1936, and were not replaced in the front line until 1938.
But the Fokkers remained on strength, and in the defence against the German invasion of Poland in September 1939 performed transport, recce and liason duties, and maybe - the records are unclear - a few hopeless bombing missions.
Therefore I wanted this aircraft for the Poland 1939 scenario.
Luckily Ray had already substantially improved Jan Tuma's original model of the Fokker F39, a latter development of the tri-motor, which flew with the Durch Air Force in 1940.
To revert the model to its ancestral FVIIIB configuration needed a slight reshaping of wings and tail plane, and losing the bulge under the fuselage and ventral gun position. It also required remodelling the bomb holding gear to three rows of four. Luckily this is doable with the additional EAW 1.6 paste-on 3dz files, D I J, K O and Q. This also enables the 1.6 flexible loadout system to be used. The bombs can be released in 3 waves.
