Just a greeting

Post by Moggy »

Hello All,

Just to say hello, that I am still working on a 1.6 version of Dunkirk, and that I will mostly posting over here in future.

Meanwhile it's too hot :)

As you know I'm putting the finishing touches on the SPAW upgrade. After that I'm at loose ends, project wise.

If you want a hand, let me know.

It's indoor season here. That's when we get cabin fever. Between the heat, humidity and bugs it ain't worth your life to go outside so sitting at a PC in the A/C is just the thing.

Of course we don't have modern things like air conditioning here at home (do have it in the office) so relying on fans. Did however go and use the a/c in the cinema yesterday, and will probably do it again tomorrow :) This awful unBritish weather should be over in a few days so we can look forward to torrential downpours.

As to Dunkirk, I'm working my way through tmods at the moment, and then I'm looking at layouts bringing them up to date. Sooner or later I'll be back to aircraft models and replacing the the old ones with some of yours and also with Iron Mike's update skins.

I began this as 129 upgrade, getting rid of the old manager programme and using plane folders. Have had to change that a bit with the way 1.5 and now 1.6 now works, now having a separate dir.set for each of the 10 days, but essentially it is working fine with saved single missions for each slot.

OK, it will be interesting to watch this develop as it is a little different from 'regular' scenarios.

Don't forget, you can dip into a pretty extensive pool of TMOD's in my target upgrade package.

In fact, I have a lot of notes about setting up TMODs that I could share.

Maybe that will be my next project.

I will certainly go through all the tmods in that package.

I'd be glad of any insights.

I've just put a wing view into the Hudson model. I've got to convert the pcx files into tpc for the Hurricanes, Spitfire, Swordfish and Hudson. I had a hard disk crash and have had to repaint these skins. Anyway, good to know what is up.
If all else fails, punt. Or, RUN AWAY!!!
