On my end I'm putting the finishing touches on the Vickers gun bus which will lead to the FE2b without too much effort.

The Be2c should be too hard either, as I'll start with one of the German observation planes as a base.

Those big German bombers OTOH. Ooof.

Will your setup have any water tiles? Some of the models already in the inventory were adapted to floats but I don't want to spend any energy on something that won't get used.

Basically using the default European map area. So yes to floatplanes.

Those big German bombers are certainly a sight.

I'm still working on the layout of target locations.

I suspect Ray is still working on planes.

Haven't had a lot of time due to real life stuff.

I had a heck of a time solving R/S issues with the FE2b but it's now about 90% finished, just have to install the engine and prop.

Then it's on to the BE2 which should be a lot easier since it's just a matter of manipulating some elements.

After that I thought I'd do some easy projects like skinning existing planes with different national markings.

I suppose at some point moggy and I will collaborate on target editing.

Once again, never make assumptions when it comes to 3dz modeling. Both the FE2b and especially the FB5 turned out to be a real challenge. All those struts caused major R/S issues. However the models are complete, along with the Be2c.

I can now work on the flight models which shouldn't be as challenging as the wireframes were.

I need some suggestions for more German planes as the inventory is getting a bit lopsided with Allied ones.

Great models Ray

I will check with my list of required German aircraft to see what else is needed.

Hi everyone, and sorry for my absence. There have been problems, too many problems, and I haven't been able to be around much. How are you all doing? I was thinking about whether you'd like to make a Discord group. Of course, it's just an idea

I don't know what that is but if it brought some attention to our work it's would be worth exploring.

Lots on here too. House renovations continuing, infestation of noxious caterpillars in the garden - I became a right spotty muldoon getting rid of them.

What's a discord group? (Moggy shows his ignorance again)

After commenting the inventory was getting a little one sided for the Allies, I did an actual count and it turns out I was wrong.

After adding the Euler 2D and DR 1 there are 36 aircraft on both sides. What threw me off was there are more skins on the Allied side. Meaning there are both British and French skins for many of the Nieuports, Spads and Sopwiths.

BTW, the Euler 2D was a direct copy of the Nieuport 11. Thirty were built but the combat record is sketchy on whether they saw combat. There was a 1D but the performance was so poor it never saw production so I decided to leave that one out. I could put it in if we don't have enough 1914-1915 planes.

The Euler DR1 was a prototype triplane version of the same plane but with an upgraded 160HP rotary. Only one was built in late 1917. I added it under the "what-if" rule.

Just for the hell of it I started searching for any other planes that inspired crossovers by the opponents. Haven't found any others yet but if anyone knows of some let me know.
