I tried that approach in SPAWFinalCut but there were just too many rendering issues to make it viable.
I ended up going back to the one piece carriers and adding stacked TMOD's.
Sadly, I couldn't find the placement data for the carriers but it wouldn't be hard to figure out using the target editor. Not that it's important for WWI.
